LMNO Testimonials

LMNO Music (Pink) has echoes of ... Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Ella Jenkins, but makes the mostly traditional songs sound his own. Garcia isn't content just to record traditional folk and kids' songs -- the album's standout song is the hypnotic "Hold My Hand." Garcia's willingness to extend the boundaries of what traditional music and new folk and kids music might sound like differentiates him from many solo artists. Recommended.

"Intimate, rhythmic, and wonderfully played, Enzo Garcia's LMNO Music-Pink is a fun album that belongs in every home, classroom, and Toddler Time collection. Another classic from the west coast!" - Warren Truitt, Sr. Children's Librarian, The New York Public Library

"I’m a dad, and my four year old son loves music, but it’s hard to find him stuff that isn’t cutesy and annoying for adults. Here’s one artist that satisfies the toddlers and doesn’t offend the ears of the grownups." - Alan Jones @ Littoral Records

"Our daughter asks for Enzo each week, she really responds to his music and he's great at drawing out each member of his class. We were in Music Together for two sessions, and are glad we found LMNO Music.

Also, you can check out his style for free on Saturday mornings at Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center on Cortland: (see Breakfast with Enzo on the right side of his website)." - Amalia

"My son Eli loves Enzo, the class, the songs, the music."

ON the class: My son has always been around music, but he only started to try to sing after we went to Enzo's class. Now, he listens to songs and says the lyrics, and is excited about it in a whole new way, and wants to play along. From class his favorite songs are the button song and walk along john .... he asks for them on demand!

And "Breakfast with Enzo" is fantastic fun for the whole family! Huge thumbs up!

"We would love to join your class this next session. Cassidy really loves it and I can really see a difference in her music/dancing abilities. We have been doing this since she was about 9 months and I always knew it would benefit her but I didn't think I'd see it so drastically. Thanks!" - The Hogan Family

"Jack really seemed to love the class and I have to say that is the most fun I have had taking him to any class!" - The Furr Family

ENZO GARCIA: lmno music - pink
Few genres at CD Baby face the daunting challenge of having to appeal to such a wide age range in their fans. With the Kids/Family section, these artists not only have to keep the young ones interested but they also have to keep the adults from running out the door for pain killers. That responsibility can be quite a task. However, Enzo Garcia has a memorable way of being "cute" and catchy without dropping all integrity and conviction. It's like he's honed the playful and goofy elements of adult music and tweaked them to fit perfectly within kids'music. There's definitely a hokey kind of feel to this album but in a way that will bring a smile to the face of any mom or dad.

"While I haven't lived in San Francisco, I've spent enough time there to know that it's just plain cool. Cool cafes, cool bands, cool parents with cool children.

That's why I had the feeling I was going to like popular Bay Area kids singer/songwriter Enzo Garcia. The force behind the popular LMNO
toddler music classes, Enzo has just come out with his ninth children's album, Pink.

Upbeat but never cloying, Enzo fuses traditional kiddie folk with hints of bluegrass, zydeco and ethnic music, sounding to me a little like a
cross between Leon Redbone and the O Brother Whereart Thou soundtrack. And while his distinctive voice is his primary instrument, his back-up tracks on guitar, accordion, banjo and harmonica bring soul to the tunes.

Listen to samples of Pink at CD Baby, then make sure to buy your own copy. There's something totally gratifying about having a kids CD that no one else knows about. Unless of course you're a San Francisco hipster parent." -Liz Gumbinner, Co-founder/Editor of www.coolmompicks.com
